The Cowpens Depot is a train depot. Sort of. Well it was. Now it’s not. Built in 1896 for Southern Railway, it served passengers until the 1950s and handled freight until 1967, when it was closed.

Converse Heights Historic Marker
Converse Heights is a neighborhood on Spartanburg’s east side that contains roughly 500 homes. Most of the dwellings in Converse Heights were built between 1907 and the 1950s, and it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
