“There is nothing to do in Spartanburg”. As a lifelong resident, I take issue with that statement. Join me in my adventures around the Upstate of South Carolina and I’ll show you why.
Spartanburg has always been known as the crossroads of the south, due in part to our history as a major railroad hub. While Spartanburg is still a prominent rail hub today, it is also at the intersection of two interstates, I-85 and I-26.
Want to go to the beach? There are several options just a few hours away. The mountains? You can be there in an hour. Spartanburg is three hours from Atlanta, and an hour from Charlotte or Asheville.
Art, history, architecture, hiking; you can find it all in and around Spartanburg.
Whether you’re considering a weekend getaway, a day trip, or you just have a few hours to kill, I’ll show you plenty to do. Spartanburg may not have it all, but we are in the middle of everything!
